Edible Book Festival

From Peter Rabbit to Harry Potter, famous characters in books were on display during the Edible Book Festival at Shannon High and Middle Schools. Students, teachers and staff take a favorite book and use the characters and storylines to create related food entries for the festival.

The student library clubs at both schools sponsor this annual event. Prizes go to the top entries, thanks to generous donations from area businesses. Organizers say this is a fun way to get more people excited about reading!
