This week, second graders in Ms. Ellis' class at Saltillo Primary have been learning about the prairie. Students learned about the different animals and plants that live there. In one of their stories, students learned about rattlesnakes and how the prairie is the rattlesnakes' habitat.

One of their very own, Skailar Gregg, has her own pet snakes. Skai's favorite animal is a snake, and she is very knowledgeable about them! Today, she was able to share and teach the class about ball pythons.

Skai taught her classmates what the snakes eat, the habitat they come from, and more! She was a wonderful teacher and presenter. Her classmates enjoyed learning from her and her dad and asking them questions. They even got to pet Luna and Maddie!

Thank you for sharing, Skai and Mr. Cameron!
