Guntown Middle students recently marked National STEM Day with a special guest on campus.
Engineer (and former GMS student) Caitlin Golding spoke to Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Davis’ eSTEM and Cyber Foundation classes.
Mrs. Golding shared with students that she became interested in engineering in seventh grade, when she built bridges in Ms. Gusmus’ class. She then continued competing in bridge competitions through high school and went to college to major in chemical engineering. Mrs. Golding currently works for a local company.
We thank Mrs. Golding for hopefully inspiring some future engineers at GMS!
