Students in Mrs. Julia Smith’s 2nd period STEM Computer Science and Engineering class at Guntown Middle School finished their "simple machine playground" projects.
In the project, students designed a playground with constraints and criteria given to them in a work instruction document. Students kept an EDJ (Engineering Design Journal) with research, drawings, and specs (like incline plane, lever, pulley, etc.)
Career Coach Connie Gusmus came to analyze the students' projects. Ms. Gusmus says she was amazed at the creativity, engineering and detail in some of the projects!
