
Saltillo Elementary 5th graders and 3rd graders come together to share a book! #bookbuddies











Our teachers have prepared students for state tests in fun ways that include March Madness competitions, glow-in-the-dark learning activities, and encouraging letters from loved ones on test days.











Fifth grade classes - Downs, Hannah, and Riner - recently spent the day immersed in science at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville!









Mrs. Franks' class participated in an "Egg Hunt State Test Review." There were sample math questions inside the eggs for students to work on ahead of state testing.






The Lee County School District's Elementary Art Show opens Thursday, April 17, with a reception from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on the campus of Saltillo Elementary. Please join us!

Miss Madison and Mrs. Kloac at Saltillo Elementary host an ELA Boot Camp for their third-grade reading classes! Students get ready for the upcoming state test with a fun, active, and skill-focused review.

Saltillo Elementary celebrated Eid-al-Fitr by bringing traditional dishes from home. Discover teacher Mrs. Amanda Carpenter prepared traditional dishes learned through her family from Lebanon. Students enjoyed celebrating by eating foods such as falafel, dolmas, tabbouleh, kofta, and sambosa.









Congratulations to our Monthly Character Trait (Cooperation) winners for the month of March! Join us in celebrating these students for emulating COOPERATION daily on our campus!





Our fifth graders were treated to a remarkable demonstration of the elements of dance, through the Civic Ballet’s performance of The Wizard of Oz!









Fifth graders in Mrs. Downs, Mrs. Riner, and Mrs. Hannah's classes enjoyed visiting McWane Science Center in Birmingham!


Miss Saltillo, Sophie Graves, visited 5th graders at Saltillo Elementary to read "The Rainbow Fish" by Marcus Pfister. Thanks to Sophie and all of our guest readers who've shared a book this week with students across the district. #ReadAcrossAmerica
