Shannon Middle's Library Club and Righteous Raiders raised money to provide Christmas gifts for area nursing home residents. Students delivered the presents this week.

Congratulations to our Thanksgiving '24 Turkey Teacher, Coach Melvin Morgan. He led with over 800 feathers! The funds from feather purchases go to Operation Christmas Child.
The Righteous Raiders of Shannon Middle along with students from Shannon High and the youth group of Shannon First Baptist Church packed and delivered 100 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child!
Eighth graders had a fun day in Oxford watching Ole Miss women's basketball. They even met some of the players!
The library club brought Camp Half-Blood to Shannon High Friday! The club invited guests from Shannon High School and Shannon Middle School to come and experience activities centered around the Percy Jackson and the Olympians stories.
Our sixth grade Raiders had an exciting day at Mississippi State University's Education Day. The Lady Bulldogs came out with a BIG W against Alabama State. It was a great day!

What a fun Red Ribbon Week!
Halloween at Shannon Middle was spectacular! Our students showed up and showed out with their costumes. We held a costume contest and had six lucky winners of Chick-fil-A gift cards. All of our finalists did an amazing job creating unique costumes that wowed us!

Today we celebrated our Shannon Middle School September students of the month with the help of Reverend Gladney and Johnson Chapel Church! Rev. Gladney and the Johnson Chapel church provided goodies for the students as a treat for excellent behavior and academics for the month! Our students include: Autumn Mosley, Keyasia Garmon, Christopher Blackwell, K’Laysia White, Khloe Lee, Jakylyn Armstrong, Q’Mari Gardner, Rashun Gibson, Ahyona Fells, Elissa Adams, and Iverson Ewing.
