Mission Acceleration is seeking the best and brightest students in Mississippi to serve as tutors to K-5 readers!

A bit about the program: Mission Acceleration aims to accelerate reading achievement through a combination of high-dosage tutoring, evidence-based reading interventions, a vast digital library, and meaningful connections with older students. The opportunity is available to high school seniors who are either currently enrolled in college coursework OR have been accepted at a college or university in Mississippi.

For their time, students can expect to receive:

  • A $1,500 stipend for participation this summer (June 1 - July 27; 10 hours a week)
  • Experience in both a K-5 and nonprofit setting
  • An opportunity to help children in need
  • Full support and training from the Mission Acceleration staff

Please see MHS Career Coach Ms. Griggs for more information.
