Tommy began the application process in March 2022. Beyond the standard GPA and ACT requirements, a qualified candidate must receive a nomination from a Senator, Congressman, or Vice-President. During the month of October, Mooreville High 10th graders in Mrs. Keith and Mrs. Vanlandingham’s classes created accounts to experience the Imagine the Possibilities Virtual Career Expo.  The students are encouraged to engage with the virtual expo by watching videos on different career pathways. While viewing these videos, students are able to accumulate points. MHS Career Coach, Ms. LaDonna Griggs, challenged the students by offering prizes for each block after the first week was completed.

Madison Moore had the highest points in 4th block and received a $15 gift card of her choice (Barnes and Noble). Analynn Keith had the highest points in 1st block and received a $15 gift card of her choice (Ulta). Carter Smith was the 3rd block winner AND the overall most points winner at the end of week one. Carter won a $40 gift card of his choice (Walmart). Next semester, any students who have accumulated 240 points will be eligible for a $50 gift card.

Congratulations and thank you for Imagining the Possibilities! This virtual expo is available for 10th graders to view and accumulate points until the end of February 2023. Apple products will be awarded in March.

Any student is allowed to create an account to watch/learn about so many different careers. Only 10th graders compete for prizes. So, check it out !
